Librarians' Forum
Mission
The mission of the Librarians' Forum is to provide librarians with a forum to address issues, both
internal and external to the Library and the University, which interest them as academic professionals.
Concordia Libraries Poster Forum
Purpose
The Concordia Libraries Poster Forum provides librarians with an informal collegial setting to:
- promote interest in various areas of research
- find potential partners for research projects
- gather suggestions for enhancing research plans
- gain experience in presenting research projects
- test presentations locally, in preparation for more formal conferences
- stimulate research activity in the library community

Brown Bag Lunch Series
The Brown Bag Lunch Series is a venue where Concordia librarians discuss their
current research with colleagues in a casual atmosphere.

Dr. Kenneth-Roy Bonin, Director of the School of Information Studies, University of Ottawa
February 6, 2008 - Dr. Bonin spoke about his plans and experiences in establishing the new Information
Studies programme in Ottawa.

Research on Reference Services in University Libraries
September 19, 2007 - Sponsored by the Special Library Association Eastern Canada Chapter and hosted by
Concordia Libraries, Lynn Berard and Bella Karr Gerlich presented "Introducing the READ Scale:
Qualitative Statistics for Reference Service".
