The Poster Forum provides students and professionals in library information studies with an informal collegial setting in which to:
The Poster Forum celebrates our diversity of research interests. You can make a presentation on any topic. It is expected that most presentations will relate to library science, although you are welcome to present research in any field.
The Poster Forum also celebrates the process of research. In this regard, your presentation need not relate to completed research, but may relate to any stage or aspect of the process, including conceptualization, planning, funding, data gathering, writing, etc.
Here is an outline of the Poster Forum:
Please indicate your intent to participate as soon as possible. Please use the application form attached. There is no fee for participating. Presentations may be in French or English.
Presenters are responsible for preparing their own posters, handouts, or other display materials. The Poster Forum Committee will provide each presenter with a vertical display panel (approximately 5' x 5'), and display equipment (projector, computer workstation, etc.) as needed. Plan on presenting to about 50-70 visitors.
The Librarians’ Forum Committee will be asking presenters’ permission to archive their presentations and/or digital version of their displays on Concordia University Libraries’ Website. All rights regarding these presentations, or any subsequent presentations, remain entirely with the individual presenters.
The Poster Forum is sponsored by the Concordia University Librarians’ Forum. For more information on the Librarians’ Forum, its activities and for links to previous Poster Forum programmes, please visit the following link: Librarians' Forum
