How to set up Google Scholar to find resources available at Concordia

Setting Google Scholar preferences

  1. Go to Google Scholar
  2. Click on the "options" wheel in the top right corner
  3. Select "Scholar Preferences"
  4. In the "Library Links" search box, type "Concordia University Libraries"
  5. Click the checkbox next to "Concordia University Libraries (Find it @ Concordia)"
  6. Under "Results Window", click the checkbox next to "Open results in a new browser window."
  7. Click on "Save Preferences"
  8. A link to "Find it @ Concordia" should now appear next to those citations that are available electronically from the Libraries

In addition to the link that may appear next to the citation's title, a "Find it @ Concordia" link may also appear on the bottom of a citation. This indicates that although we may not have the specific citation in our electronic holdings, we might have other issues of the same journal in electronic and/or print format.

PLEASE NOTE

Google Scholar is currently in its beta version, which means that the "Find it @ Concordia" link may not always be reliable and effective. You may want to search in CLUES to verify whether or not the item you are looking for truly is or is not available at Concordia:
