Finding online learning objects for teaching

What are learning objects?

Learning Objects are educational items that come in various forms, and can be used for learning or training purposes.

The University of Toronto Library has excellent descriptions of different types of learning objects. One or more may be suitable for your needs.

Where can I find learning objects?

Some Learning Objects have been collected in repositories, so that they are easily searchable. Some of the more popular learning objects repositories include:

Heather Buchansky at the University of Toronto Libraries has put together an excellent collection of subject specific and multidisciplinary learning objects repositories. You might also find learning objects by searching Google.
