The National Security Archive's new collections are currently available on trial. For a limited time, the Libraries' base subscription is augmented by 13 new collections. The Digital National Security Archive contains a collection of declassified U.S. foreign policy documents. The National Security Archive was founded in 1985, and has acquired these documents through the Freedom of Information Act. This database of primary sources includes more than 43,000 of the most important declassified documents regarding critical U.S. foreign policy decisions.

C19: The Nineteenth Century Index is a bibliographic index for 19th-century research, providing records for millions of documents ranging from books and newspapers to government documents and periodicals. It includes all the records listed in Poole's Index to Periodical Literature as well as the Wellesley Index to Victorian Periodicals (1824-1900) and the American Periodicals Series (1791-1919). It also provides access to Palmer's Index to the Times (1790-1905), the full text of which is available on Times Digital Archive. It includes links to the full-text articles in Periodicals Archive Online, JSTOR and House of Commons Parliamentary Papers.

ICPSR is a statistical data repository covering fields such as sociology, political science, economics, demography, education, child care, health care, crime, minority populations, aging, terrorism, substance abuse, mental health, public policy, and international relations. The collection focuses on U.S. issues but also includes several datasets that deal with international and Canadian topics. The data is presented in a raw format which means that statistical analysis software such as SPSS or SAS is needed to interpret it.

Please note: users must create a MyData account on the ICPSR site in order to access data. The account must be created on a computer connected to Concordia’s network, or remotely through Concordia’s VPN service.

The growing collection is set to include more than 1000 films and 750 hours of classic and contemporary documentaries produced by leading video producers in the discipline; previously unpublished footage from working anthropologists and ethnographers in the field; and select feature films. 

Wherever possible, videos include accompanying field notes, liner notes, filmmaker biographies, related articles, study guides, and other full-text materials.
