    Great source for up-to-date company news and for tracking industry trends.

    A directory of links to websites related to financial economics.

  • Business Links: CEO Express
    A site designed for busy CEOs but useful in that all sites are listed compactly on the top page under the headings Daily News & Information, Business Research (many financial links here), All Things Internet, Tools, Travel & Fun.

  • QFinance: Financial Information Sources
    Citations to thousands of reliable financial information material, including books, articles and websites. All sources are organized topically.

  • Wall Street Executive Library
    This site links to a wide array of business sites which are grouped by categories (e.g., Newspapers, Financial Markets, Company & Industry, Marketing & Advertising, etc.). Canadian links are usually indicated by a maple leaf and U.S. links by the United States flag. This provides a quick means of getting to a site you know when you have forgotten the address, or of finding new, useful sites by topic.

Corporate Governance and Social Responsibility

  • Canadian Coalition for Good Governance
    Formed in 2003, the CCGG promotes good governance practices in Canadian companies. Their site is a resource for anyone wishing to learn more about governance practices and to better understand the thinking of CCGG members on governance issues.

  • SEDAR
    Use SEDAR to find information on executive compensation in Canadian public companies. Such information is found in one of the following documents: Executive Compensation form (Form 51-102F6), the Annual Report or in the Proxy Circular (also called the Management Information Circular).

  • David O’Brien Centre for Sustainable Enterprise
    Centre at Concordia that promotes all aspects of social corporate responsibility.  Find a list of events as well as free access to the Sustainable Scoop, the newsletter of the Centre.

  • Institute for Governance of Private and Public Organizations (IGPPO)
    A joint initiative of HEC Montréal and Concordia, the Institute aims to become a centre for excellence in governance research & training as well as a centre for the study of best practices at the senior management level.

  • Corporate Knights
    In addition to publishing a magazine dedicated to Corporate Responsibility, CK also publishes various special reports such as the annual Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada, and the annual Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World.

  • Conference Board Governance and Director Compensation in Canada 2008
    Conducted by the Korn/Ferry Institute, this is the latest edition of  the annual report on the state of Canadian corporate governance and provides the opportunity to observe key trends and identify emerging issues for Canadian directors.

    Free database of US and international economic time series. Download and track economic data, interest and exchange rates.

  • OANDA
    Get current and historical exchange rates for all the world's currencies going back to 1990.

  • Canadian Housing and Mortgage Corporation
    Use this site to find up-to-date Canadian housing market reports for each region as well as analysis and market forecasts. There is also a link to Canada's Housing Observer which provides an annual review of the state of Canada's housing and a substantial collection of online data resources.

  • Commercial Real Estate Investing in Canada
    This ebook is a comprehensive reference guide for anyone interested in Canadian real estate, including investors and professionals. The ebook introduces basic terminology used in real estate, information about mortgages, taxes and more.

  • MLS Barometer
