This guide lists a selection of the more important sources of information on Geography available at Concordia Libraries.
It includes material held in the Webster Library (WEB) on the Sir George Williams Downtown Campus, the Vanier Library (VAN) on the Loyola Campus and/or available online.
Most materials are located in the Reference area (REF) or electronically. This is not a complete list.

Article Databases
Major Databases
- GeoBase.
Citations with abstracts to literature in physical and human geography, geology, mineralogy, ecology and development studies. Integrates the content of several print indexes, including Geographical Abstracts and Ecological Abstracts.
- Canadian Periodical Index
- CGRG Bibliography of Canadian Geomorphology.
A searchable database containing over 16,000 records dedicated to identifying publications describing the practice and application of geomorphology in Canada.
- GreenFile.
GreenFILE is a multidisciplinary database covering many aspects of environmental sciences from the perspective of disciplines such as agriculture, education, law, health and engineering. The database indexes academic journals, magazines, trade publications and monographs.
- Online Geographical Bibliography .
Cumulates all monograph and periodical entries from Current Geographical Publications (CGP). Covers all aspects of human and physical geography.
- Urban Studies & Planning: A SAGE Full-Text Collection.
Comprehensive database that provides the full text of 12 journals published by SAGE and participating societies, some journals going back 37 years, and encompasses over 2,500 articles.
- Web of Science. Citation index to the social sciences and sciences.
