Theatre Resources in CLUES

To identify resources about specific playwrights, do a SUBJECT search in CLUES, using the playwright's name, last name first. Look for subdivisions, such as Interviews, Characters, Criticism and Interpretation, Dramatic Works, or the title of a play.

Examples:

To identify resources about theatre topics, do a KEYWORD search in CLUES. If your search retrieves only a few books, look at the SUBJECT HEADINGS of one of your retrieved records for hints on the terminology used in CLUES.

For Example:

Cambridge Companions Complete Collection

Continuously updated, the Cambridge Companions Complete Collection includes the full text of the books in the following two series: The Cambridge Companions to Literature and Classics and The Cambridge Companions to Philosophy, Religion and Culture. The Companions to Literature include international playwrights. Other noteworthy titles: Cambridge Companion to the Actress, Cambridge Companion to Greek Tragedy, Cambridge Companion to Greek and Roman Theatre, Cambridge Companion to Performance Studies, and many others.

Visual Media Resources

Located on the 3rd floor of the Hall Building and a department within the Faculty of Fine Arts, Visual Media Resources includes "a media library, bookings and reservations for in-class presentations, preview rooms, learning laboratories with individual workstations, duplication services and reference services. Of special interest to students is the growing collection of video titles: there are currently 8,000 including 2,000 on DVD."

WorldCat

WorldCat is a worldwide union catalogue created and maintained collectively by more than 10,000 member institutions, including Concordia Libraries. Its resources span thousands of years and include lists of materials from books to recordings to archives.
  • Use Advanced Search for more search options, such as language, format, audience, subject and genre

Other Library Catalogues

Search Other Library Catalogues, such as Montreal university libraries; other Montreal and Quebec libraries; Canadian, national and international libraries. If Concordia Libraries do not have the items, you can request most of them via Interlibrary loans.
