Connect to the Reserve Request Forms
Reserve material can consist of hard copies (such as books or videos) or electronic copies (such as Web sites, online articles or personal electronic documents).
Reserve material is restricted to Concordia students, faculty members and staff.
Thanks to funding provided by the CSU, the library will place on reserve textbooks and course packs for undergraduate courses.
Faculty can request that other library material be placed on reserve as well. These items can include books, photocopies, videos or electronic documents. Reserve material circulates for shorter loan periods.
Books from the Vanier Library may be placed on Reserve at the Webster Library and vice versa. If the title is not in the Libraries' collection, please contact your Subject Librarian.
Personal copies will be placed on reserve only if the book is neither in the collection nor available for purchase. If the book is to be purchased, personal copies will be kept until the library has acquired a copy.
Please note that the Libraries do not assume responsibility for any loss or damage; faculty are not reimbursed for lost or damaged items. Personal copies are subject to all library loans and fines policies.
Photocopies of limited sections of books may be placed on Reserve.
Copies of journal articles may be placed on Reserve.
Media (videos, software, etc.) and accompanying print material can be placed on Reserve.

To ensure that Reserve request forms are processed in time and that materials are available to students for the beginning of each semester, please submit your requests at least three weeks before the beginning of a semester. In most cases, it takes one week to process requests; however, forms submitted without accompanying material may take longer.
At the end of each semester, items (other than long-term) are removed from Reserve. Personal copies will be returned to faculty. Electronic copies will be deleted. For material on long-term Reserve (one year), professors will be contacted to decide whether the material should be placed on reserve for the next semester.
