Course reserves
What are course reserves?
- Textbooks, videos, CDs, and other material (either hard copies or digital) used for courses. They may include supplemental information such as tests, class notes, or solution sets.
- Reserve material is to be used for private study and research
- Concordia Libraries operate under the University's
Policy on Copyright Compliance (PDF)
- Search for items in CLUES under "Course Reserves" by course code.
Hard copies
- Hard copies of reserve materials are kept in at the Reserve Room (Webster) or at the Circulation Desk (Vanier).
- They must be returned to the service point from which they were borrowed
- Due to high demand, course reserves:
- Have shorter loan periods (e.g. 3 hrs, 3 days)
- Cannot be renewed
- Incur higher fines
Electronic copies
- Electronic copies of some reserve materials are available online
- In CLUES, these are identified by the message - *Click title for electronic copy*
- Access is restricted to Concordia students (authentication required)
- If you need more than one reading, login to
MyCLUES and you will not have to authenticate for each title.
