To obtain an Alumni card, contact the Alumni Relations Office located at 1250 Guy St., Suite FB-520; telephone: (514) 848-2424 ext. 4856; online at http://alumni.concordia.ca. Please note that you must have graduated or you must provide a copy of your transcript (available through the MyConcordia portal).

Circulation Services

Registered Concordia University alumni can borrow books and other materials that circulate from the Libraries by presenting their Alumni card and valid personal identification. Some material, such as periodicals and reference material, does not circulate. Borrowers may obtain information about their own circulation record at a Circulation Desk or online in CLUES, the library catalogue, under MyCLUES.

Reference & Research Assistance

Reference & Research Assistance is offered on a priority basis to Concordia's primary constituency, that is, currently enrolled Concordia University students, faculty and staff. Reference assistance is provided to other users as time permits.

Access to Computers and Online Resources

Registered Concordia University alumni may apply in person at the Vanier or Webster Circulation Desk during service hours for a guest account to use library computers.

The guest account permits access outside of peak hours on the day of issue only:

  • Fall and Winter Semesters
    • Monday to Thursday: 8:30am to 11am; 9pm to closing
    • Friday: 8:30am to 11am; 6pm to closing
    • Saturday and Sunday: 10am to closing
  • Spring and Summer Semesters

Please note - these hours are subject to change.

'CLUES only' computers as well as selected computers in the reference area are accessible at any time without an account.

License agreements require that off-campus use of the Libraries' electronic resources be restricted to Concordia University students, faculty members and staff. Registered Concordia University alumni may request a guest account enabling them to use some online resources in the library.

Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec offers free access to an array of online resources (free subscription required).

You can also search for Open Access content that is freely available online.

Library Code of Conduct

All persons using the library must respect the Library Code of Conduct. Among other regulations, excessive noise and use of cell phones are not permitted; also, food and drink are not permitted except for water kept in a closed container.
