Visiting scholars, professors (including Concordia Affiliate Faculty) and librarians invited by Concordia University and requesting library privileges have to fill out the Request for Library Privileges Form and have it signed by their affiliated Department.
Visiting scholars, professors and librarians can borrow books and other materials that circulate from the Libraries. Library privileges are those of a Graduate Student. Borrowers may obtain information about their own circulation record at a Circulation Desk or online in CLUES, the library catalogue, under MyCLUES.
Overdue fines are charged at $1 per day per item for most items. Library borrowing privileges are suspended if a fine of $5 has been incurred. Please note that non-receipt of a courtesy or overdue notice does not release borrowers from their responsibility to return books on time.
Reference & Research Assistance is offered on a priority basis to Concordia's primary constituency, that is, currently enrolled Concordia University students, faculty and staff. Reference assistance is provided to other users as time permits.
Concordia University Library Privilege Card holders may apply in person at the Vanier or Webster Circulation Desk during service hours for a guest account to use library computers.
The guest account permits access outside of peak hours but only until midnight of the day the account was issued:
Please note - these hours are subject to change. |
License agreements require that off-campus use of the Libraries' electronic resources be restricted to members of the Concordia University community. Concordia University Library Privilege Card holders may request a guest count enabling them to use some online resources in the library.
Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec offers free access to an array of online resources (free subscription required).
You can also search for Open Access content that is freely available online.
All persons using the library must respect the Library Code of Conduct.
