...then join the WILU 2009 Volunteer Team.
As in past years we will be seeking a core of enthusiastic and responsible volunteers whose contributions will be a key element of the conference's success. The rewards and benefits of this opportunity should especially interest library school students and recent grads.
Volunteer roles
Volunteers will perform a wide variety of tasks, including:
- Staffing the registration desk and participant lounge
- Helping with set-up and logistics of individual sessions
- Providing information and directions to conference participants
Convenors
Conference participants can also choose to volunteer as a convenor for one or more sessions upon registration or by contacting us. Convenor responsibilities generally consist of:
- Arriving at the session in advance
- Introducing and thanking the presenter
- Ensuring, if necessary, that time restrictions are met
- Acting as contact person in case of technical problems
