Wikipedia 101 Training: How to read and write Wikipedia articles

Bilingual. In this workshop you will learn how to read and write Wikipedia, how to add content to Wikimedia Commons, and how to work with the translation tools on Wikipedia.

The workshop will also cover ethical questions such as conflict of interest (COI), notability & references and the five pillars of Wikipedia and will focus on learning feminist and anti-oppressive methodologies for Wikipedia.

This workshop will include both a theoretical and practical element.

Round table discussion on Wikipedia, translation, and open access

Featuring Anna Luisa Daigneault of Living Tongues, Daniel Bögre Udell of Wikitongues, and a member of the Atikamekw Wikipetcia project.

This discussion will cover current issues related to translation and open-access in relationship to Wikipedia and Wikimedia.

Due to capacity limits, priority will be given to members of the Concordia community. Please register below and a confirmation will be sent prior to the event date.
