Thank you to those of you who tried out sample furniture for the new Webster Library in October and November of last year.  These furniture consultations were a very important component of the Webster Library Transformation project and input received from library users was crucial to the project’s success.  We are pleased to report that 320 users chose to complete our survey.

Michael Groenendyk, Accounting and SCBTM Subject Librarian,  did the analysis and provided extensive information that will help identify key criteria for the future furniture selection. We will be assisted in this process by architects from Menkès, Shooner, Dagenais, LeTourneux Architectes (MSDL).  Geneviève Hart coordinated the project and library staff members Monique Lane and Karen Mullett inputted the data. To no surprise, the Library users confirmed that they like modern, comfortable, and visually interesting furniture.
