Access to photocopying and scanning

Visitors who are not current students, faculty or staff may fill in the online form to get a netname, password and DPrint loader key for immediate access to photocopying and scanning using DPrint Xerox machines.


Access to computers and printing

Start by filling in the online form to obtain a guest netname, password and DPrint loader key.

Library Privilege Card holders (see How to get a Library Privilege Card) will need to take the guest netname (valid for one year), Library Privilege Card and valid ID* to a Circulation Desk staff member in order to have the netname activated for access to computers and printing for the following 1 month. For access during each subsequent month, you must return to the Circulation Desk and present your netname, the Library Privilege Card and valid ID* in order to receive an additional 1 month of access.

Members of the general public will need to take the guest netname (valid for one year) and valid ID* to a Circulation Desk staff member in order to activate access to computers and printing for the following 4 hours on the same day (no same-day renewals). For 4 hours of access on any day thereafter, the visitor must return to the Circulation Desk and present valid ID* and the guest netname.

* Driver's license with an address or photo ID with some proof of residence (e.g., utility bill). Photo IDs and proofs of address must be in roman characters or accompanied by a certified translated version of the Photo ID and proof of address.


Instructions and online form

  1. Fill in the form below. Information entered must match valid ID*.
  2. For photocopying and scanning with DPrint, the netname, password and DPrint loader key that you receive will automatically grant you access.
  3. For access to library computers and printing, go to the Circulation Desk at either Webster or Vanier Library, present your valid ID*, Library Privilege Card (if applicable), and the netname you received via the form.

Before submitting the form make sure you have a way to write down the netname, password and DPrint loader key. These are displayed for only 1 minute. This information will also be sent to you via the email address you provide.

The * indicates a required field.
