Location: Vanier Library, Loyola Campus or Webster Library, Sir George Williams Campus, Concordia University

Job description

Concordia University Library has two student librarian positions available for September through May 2026. Student librarians work under the direction of a librarian or other professional on a variety of projects that further the Library’s goals. Currently, we are looking for student librarians to work in the following areas:

  • Create, update and promote AI literacy modules, guides, workshops, etc.
  • Undertake audits/environmental scans of AI developments in library/information resources and workflows
  • Other projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Student currently enrolled in a graduate program in a library and information studies school accredited by the American Library Association who has completed at least one semester of study.
  • Familiarity with current trends and concepts in information and digital literacy.
  • Knowledge of and experience with emerging information resources and tools used in academic research.
  • Ability to use technology to organize work, communicate, and create as needed.
  • Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Oral and written fluency in English is essential. French is an asset.

Salary

$22.85 per hour
