What do I need to know before I start searching?
You have your research question, now what? Before you start searching, it’s best to know how to prepare a search strategy.
Search strategy
The means by which you discover sources related to your question. It consists of:
- Identifying the main ideas in your question.
- For each idea, thinking of keywords and related terms (i.e. search terms).
- Combining your search terms using search operators like AND or OR.
