Quebec university libraries

The Sofia Discovery tool allows users to not only search their university library's collections, but also extend the results to every Quebec university library to see which items are available in each institution in real time. This allows for a simplified and broader access to the resources of Quebec's 18 academic libaries through shared collections (over 20 million physical items). The user can select an English or French interface.

To search all Quebec university library collections

• Go to the Sofia Discovery tool;
• Enter your search keyword/phrase; and
• On the results page, on the left under "Library", select the scope of your search (e.g., "Bibliothèques universitaires du Québec" will show results from all Quebec university libraries).

The academic libraries of Quebec do not share electronic resources (databases, journal articles and ebooks) due to the nature of library agreements with publishers and vendors.
