Interlibrary loans
Monitoring and managing your requests
Looking for Colombo? Sofia can now receive and manage your Interlibrary Loan (ILL) requests. This means you will no longer have access to your Colombo account.
Please note that your current ILL requests already made through Colombo will remain active and will be managed by the Library in Colombo until their expiry.
For any questions related to your Colombo account or the ILL service, please do not hesitate to contact us at lib-ILLusers@concordia.ca.
Follow these steps to monitor and manage your ILL requests
Sign into your My Account in Sofia.
Under the My Account drop down menu in the upper right corner, click on "Requests".
Now you will see your list of requested items. ILL requests can be identified by a "request details" number found in the submitted date column. To check on the status of your ILL request, view the "Status" column on the right. Note that you will see a "Request Again" button immediately under the status information for a request – this does not mean that your request has not gone through.
Cancel a request
To cancel an ILL request, select the item(s) you wish to cancel by using the check box in the left column. Then click on the "Cancel requests" button.
Renew a request
You will be able to borrow your ILL requested items for 30 days, and it will be automatically renewed up to 4 times unless the item is recalled.
We will notify you by email when the item needs to be returned.
Notifications and pickup
You will receive email notifications when your ILL request is available for pickup or download.
Physical items can be picked up at the Circulation/Loans desks at either Vanier or Webster Library (depending on which pickup location you selected when placing your request). You will have 14 days to pick up your item(s).
