This report provides an overview of research-related initiatives at Concordia Library, including funding awarded to Concordia librarians and research dissemination activities. Concordia Library is an active participant in scholarly research and is committed to supporting the research activities of its team.
Library Research Forum
Concordia's 23rd Annual Library Research Forum was held on April 25th, 2025. The forum was held as an in-person event at the Loyola campus and was free to all who registered. Presentations covered open access, collection evaluation, scoping reviews, academic librarians’ working conditions, online access to archives, library history, community building, and visual media.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Sophie Montreuil, Executive Director of Acfas, the Association francophone pour le savoir. Her presentation was titled: L’Acfas, les bibliothèques et la recherche : une alliance au profit de la communauté scientifique.
The Library Research Forum Committee for 2024-2025 was composed of Ellen Wright (chair), Tomasz Neugebauer, Kate Ripley, and Pat Riva.
